MMD president Nevers Mumba says UPND president Hakainde Hichilema’s apology over his remarks that anyone joining the MMD now is out of their minds was made to him as an individual and not to the former ruling party.
Dr. Mumba says if he accepted Mr. Hichilema’s apology and forgave him it does not mean that all MMD members would do the same.
He says it could happen that despite some MMD members seeing the text apology, they could still be waiting for a public apology from Mr. Hichilema.
Dr Mumba says it is important that political leaders concentrate on why they have been put in their positions.
The MMD leader adds that leaders should also begin to respect each other.
And Dr Mumba says the perceived fight between the MMD and the UPND will die a natural death.

Why cant the two parties (MMD & UPND)unite and work together? MMD has no chance of scooping any election. UPND has slight chance, but must change their approach to Zambian politics. Its not about having a leader who is Rich. We had the BYs of this world who invested heavily in politics, but look at the way he went down.
