I’m Only Human And We All Make Mistakes-Bobby East

Musician Robert Chunga, better known as Bobby East, says he is only human and was bound to make mistakes in life.
Addressing a huge crowd that filled East Point discoteque in Lusaka to witness his first performance since the sex video scandal in June, the 24-year-old rapper emphasised that what had happened was a mistake.
Patrons meanwhile cheered Bobby East as he made his way to the stage in the company of three security men.
At exactly 02:20 hours, the rapper was on stage and for about five minutes, he could not say a word as the crowd kept cheering while shouting Bobby! Bobby!
“I would like to say a few things before I perform. A lot has been said about me but I didn’t go to the media to say anything because I wanted to face you my fans. I’m only human and we all make mistakes. You my fans do not know me for making mistakes, you know me for making music and I’m here to perform for you so DJ drop the music please napatata,” said Bobby East who looked a bit shy at first.
After performing a string of songs, among them Hate Mail, Ku Matero, Stopilla Sunzu, Paloma and Dangerous, he paused to thank his fans and the XYZ crew for supporting him.
“I know some of you just came to see me while some of you came because you are my real fans. However, I thank you all for supporting me. I’m only human and I make mistakes,” he added.
The rapper also thanked singers Mampi and Petersen who were in the audience for being on his side during what he termed a “hard time”.
At some point, a group of female patrons screamed, “We love you Bobby!” And he responded, “I love you too.”
After leaving the stage, fans mobbed Bobby East, pleading to get pictures with him while others just wanted a hug.
The rapper was later driven off in a Toyota Alteeza.
On July 11 this year, police arrested and formally charged Bobby East and Ruth Mukanga for staring in a 12-minute sex video which went viral on the internet.
