It’s Not Possible For Any PF Leader To Take Over From Sata Before 2016 -Wina

Patriotic Front (PF) national chairperson Inonge Wina says it is not possible for any PF leader to take over leadership from President Michael Sata now as he has a mandate to govern the country up to 2016 and possibly beyond.

Commenting on the revelation by Finance Minister that there are some PF leaders positioning themselves to take over the presidency from President Sata, Ms. Wina has told Qfm news in an interview that she is learning of the revelation by Mr. Chikwanda for the first time.

Ms. Wina, who is also Gender Minister, says it will be however unwise for anyone to contemplate taking over the presidency because everyone in party knows that the current leader of party and the Head of State is President Sata.

She says it is for this reason why she thinks that there cannot be anyone in the ruling party  leadership who is currently contemplating to take the Presidency before 2016.

Asked what her advice would be as party national person if indeed there is a clique of PF leaders positioning themselves to take over the presidency as confirmed by Mr. Chikwanda, Ms. Wina says she may not be aware if there is any such machinations.

She says as national chairperson, she would like to see togetherness and a stronger unity of purpose by all party members.

The PF national chairperson states this is why it is important that all party members adhere to her call for unity.

It wont just happen before 2021. The man of action remains its leader and head of state.

Its possible for anyone to take the presidency from Sata after 2016.But what is not good are people who are not ready to build their own political career in the someway Sata did but wanting to take advantage of his success in politics.Anyone who wants to the president of this country or any position in Govt should learn to develop their path.

Ba Isaac, every leader can be replaced if need arises. The fact of the matter is the president is not well and if something happens (God forbid), a replacement has to be found. You cannot just bend on Sata being the president of this country or leader of PF even under very odd circumstances.

Truly Sata can be replaced any time, but what we are saying is that the man has two term mandate which ends up to 2021 any one scrambling for power now will not do. Pf is not a party where scavengers get advantage of those die before them like what we are seeing in other political parties getting advantage of the dead to ascend to higher offices.

We know “shikulu” can not take us up to 2021. But instead of scrambling for power, PF administration should agree on who should lead us into 2016 Tripartite election. This should happen now or else the boat will sink.

Mr. Isaac you are PF I am sure, now tell the other PF officials to give us a candidate for 2016 other than “Shikulu”. We should feel pity for him. His is a man action and has worked. We have seen a number development projects, roads, schools Hospitals and many more. But can’t just continue due to factors beyond his and our control. Replacement is inevitable.
