EZM sat down with Ms. Haatinga during the Macky 2’s DStv welcome bash at 101 in the VIP question and got close to most spoken about girlfriend in Zambia at the moment.
During the time of the interview, Macky 2 was busy taking pictures with fans, promoters and DJs, whilst Haantinga took a more chilled and relaxed stance. You could still feel the love, support and pride they share for each other whenever Haantinga eys wondered to Macky 2’s position and when the rap star came to kiss his woman on the forehead.
Beauty Haantinga, publicly went and told the world that she is the woman who holds Umupondo Macky 2 by going in the Big Brother Africa house to surprise the resting Macky 2 in bed with Malawi contestant Sipe. Beauty was born on August 29th, 1991 and has been studying management but is working on entering the fashion and beauty industrial by starting her own modeling agency.
EZM: When asked about what she felt prior to surprising Macky 2 in the house?
Haantinga: I was so excited that I was going to see Mark, after a long time. I just wanted to tell him how much I missed him, we all missed him back home and how proud we were of him
EZM: Before going into the house, had you seen hotshots of him with Sipe and how close they were getting?
Haantinga: To be honest, I didn’t watch much of them together and of them getting close, I didn’t mind it at all. I was not even thinking of it.
EZM: When you finally came and surprised him and there he was ,resting in bed with Sipe on the other side, how did you feel? We as Zambians and properly the rest of Africa thought that you were pissed and would throw a fist.
Haantinga: I have been asked that question a lot, but again to be honest, I was just so excited to finally see Mark and tell him how much we missed and how proud we were, I was not even thinking of that at all. I was just so happy to see him and trying to make of the few minutes I had to see him.
EZM: Now that he has to do promos and attend events, everyone wants to be with him, take pictures and all. How are you finding it?
Haantinga: I am with him all the time when he isn’t working, so its fine and it is work. Mark is very humble and professional, he takes every event seriously and tries to take pictures with everyone and answer every questions. I give him that space and time to do his job.
EZM: Will you use on Macky 2’s name to your advantage to take your modeling agency and brand to be more exposed?
Haantinga: WHAT! NO! He is my man and I would never exploit him or his name, this is what he does, and I also will do mine. I kept silent for three years because of the same. No, I wont use his name to my advantage. There is no competition
EZM: How do you deal with groupies?
Haantinga: I am very comfortable in our relationship, that doesn’t get to me at all.
What is the best part of dating a rap star?
Haantinga: You get to know, see and experience a different side of them that the rest of the world doesn’t get to see.
EZM: What is the worst part of dating a rap star?
Haantinga: That they have to work during the weekends. That sucks
EZM: When is the wedding?
Haantinga: June 2015.
After having spend with the couple, seen the interractions and love they have for eachother, it is clear to see why Macky 2 shouted out to the world “ That is my babe”
