A total of 80 constituencies have been counted and announced so far with PF candidate Edgar Lungu getting with 533,613 while the UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema has 474,076 votes.
The gap between Lungu and HH is 59, 537.
The breakdown of the 70 remaining constituencies is as follows:
Southern Province has 7 remaining
Western Province has 14 remaining
Central Province has 8 remaining
Copper belt has 5 remaining (Rural)
Eastern Province has 11 remaining
Luapula has 4 remaining
For Lusaka all have been completed
Muchinga and Northern Province combined have 14 remaining
North Western has 7 remaining.
From the above breakdowns, 36 remaining constituencies are in the UPND strong holds where they are expected to win all of them with good margins that may offset Edgar Lungu’s lead.
These are in Southern, Western, North Western, Copper belt rural and Central provinces.
The other 34 constituencies are falling in areas where the PF’s Edgar Lungu is winning with small figures averaging 5,000 with the UPND following with average s of 1500 and these are in Northern, Muchinga, Eastern and the eastern parts of Central Province.

This looks a bit credit – lets wait for ECZ.Meanwhile, the airport can start preparing the run way for landing of Presidential bye election winner. The weather looks fine with isolated clouds and thunderstorms at the final destination – Plot 1.

This I got on HH facebook:
To all my supporters:
I urge you to stay patient. The results are likely to be extremely tight, but we are encouraged by independently analyzed PVT from civil society as well as our internal numbers.
All will become clear soon. We will keep you updated as things continue to develop.
Thank you and God bless,
Hakainde Hichilema

@2020 vision.Thanks!
We trust yo information. We hope u’ve reliable information.
Pantu ifwe tulefwaya lungu. If we wins today then 2016 will tell our relatives to vote like the way southerner are voting .We can’t allow such politics in Zambia. If UPND loses then it should forget about 2016 bcoz the voting pattern will change.Too much tribalism in southern. We’ll do the same in 2016.It seems in N/W UPND rigged the elections.

Reliability of the data you give will guarantee our confidence in you. How do you explain the discrepancy in UPND figures that are at 524,976 from 90 constituencies (Mambilima brief at 17.00 hrs), against your 505,938 from 91 constituencies? Did UPND get -1,9038? How possible?

January 22, 2015 at 6:28 pm
May be my ears did not listen accordingly but I heard that out of 90 constituencies verified so far, Edgar Changwa Lungu has 590’252 representing 50.75% while HH has got 524’976, thus 45.14%. These results are taken from Ndola central, Mansa x 2, Bahati, Kaputa, Mbala, Mpulungu and Nalikwanda. Now whose ponds are drying up faster than the other is a question worth answering.
