A former Choma Medical College student has dragged the institution to the Magistrate Court in a Civil Lawsuit claiming a refund of over K8, 000.

Byta FM Court Specialist reports that Albertina Sikalingwa has sued Choma Medical College claiming a refund of K8, 235 after the institution was indefinitely closed by the Government in 2017.

The college in this matter is represented by its Director Lweendo Muleya who stated that he was not sure about the amount in question.

However, the case could not take off as the defendant applied for an adjournment in order to have ample time to seek and engage Legal representation.

Magistrate Richard Chikalanga granted the application and adjourned the matter to 20th March, 2018 for hearing and ordered the defendant to compensate the plaintiff all the expenses she has incurred to travel from Lusaka where she has been enrolled at another Colleg
