Leadership Is Not A Position But A Measure Of Responsibility- PILATO

In life it is very important to be clear both in speech and in deeds. Leadership is not a position but a measure of responsibility. For a long time now some of us have been shouting corruption! Corruption! Corruption! the President did not even move his finger. Instead he unleashed his ungodly disciples to insult us and accuse us of being sponsored by the Opposition parties. Today we are going to court for protesting corruption. This President and his government were so determined to defend corruption such that they sent police officers and cadres to beat and arrest us for protesting corruption. So what has changed now?

Today we are told that Madam Kabanshi has been fired. The question is, what has she done? Is she the one who stole the donor money? Should we interpret this dismissal as judgement and that the former minister is guilty? If she is guilty, why is she not arrested?

We know that if the donors did not react by freezing their funding it would have been business as usual. This firing of minister Kabanshi should be followed by her arrest. We know that President Lungu doesn’t have problems with corruption and this firing of a cabinet minister is just an act of shame because it exposes his reluctance to fight corruption. If he was committed to fighting corruption, we would have been talking about something different today. We wouldn’t have been going to court today. When President Lungu descended from the black mountain in the great city of Kitwe dressed in a beautiful blue suit, he found his disciples enjoying the most expensive whiskey. He sat on the beautiful chair that was set for him as he taught his disciples in parables and laughter. He said ” uubomba mwibala alya mwibala, but don’t eat the seeds”. This was an executive instruction to his ministers and Members of parliament to go and eat from their respective ministries and fields. So the question here again is…. Did madam Kabanshi eat the seeds? If not why firing her now?

What should happen to those who are stealing money that is not coming from the UK? What should the poor Zambian freeze to prompt a reaction from their President?

This is the month we were arrested for protesting corruption…… Today the same president wants the world to think he doesn’t condone corruption. Lol yaba.

Anyway 24th September we are back in court….. And it will be our anniversary. We were arrested on the 29th September 2017 so this year we will observe this not with silence but with protests again. Thank you.
