Church Member Eats K200 Tithe Meant For Bread of Life Church

A Lusaka  resident is today expected to appear in a magistrate’s court for allegedly stealing K200 tithe from Bread of Life Church International.
Peter Simfukwe, 31, of Kabanana in Lusaka, is charged with theft of tithe, which is a tenth of an income paid as a contribution to a religious organisation by a church member. Tithe, which Bible scriptures declares as holy and belongs to God, is channelled towards spreading the ministry.
It is alleged that on August 26, this year, Simfukwe, in Lusaka, stole K200 tithe, the property of Bread of Life Church International.

According to police documents, Simfukwe allegedly stole the offering during a church service while pretending to be praying. He allegedly stole the money by swapping an empty envelope with one which contained K200 in an offering basket. The matter came up last week before magistrate Mwaka Mikalile for allocation.

Magistrate Mikalile allocated the matter to magistrate Rachael Mwansa. Meanwhile, a 33-year-old man of Lusaka has been taken to court for staying at a lodge for 70 days without paying over K30,000 lodging fees. Chinunda Mbao is charged with obtaining pecuniary advantage by false pretences.
It is alleged that between April 21 and July this year, Mbao allegedly accumulated accommodation fees worth K33,600 at Patmos Lodge in Lusaka.

    Morning brethren,
i believe that there is always a way we can handle matters of that nature.Theft is caused by demon as such requires one to be prayed for just as our senior prophet t.b Joshua does.Taking someone to prison over such could mean a church defeat from Satan.Have mercy on him, and deliver him instead of church running away from responsibility of Gods correction bible based. The bible tells that,we are the potter in Psalms 18 vs1 meaning, what is broken we keep and mend in the sight of almighty. In our church, someone stole a car radio and food at the cost of k4500 then. The bishop ordered that he be delivered and today is a pastor in Lusaka with 250 members and doing even hearing of the cancer and serious deliverance and has 20 orphaned children who are school going than what important pastors can not even take care off.The man is kind, good, prayerful and he is like Paul in the bible. If the man had been imprisoned, the orphans could be in the streets today and all of us watching and just condemning.last weekend,i had to sleep at his home and it was unbelievable to GOD and me.My advise is that, while we are pastors and saving GOD,lets be mindful of posh life with the vulnerable around. We need to help the children with education instead of competing with others in the ministries. And our business as church is to bring together the limping ones and good ones as zefania 3vs 19 tells us.May the spirit of GOD speak to the complainants of k200.Forgive,you shall be forgiven amen.
    Regards,
    Pastor Mwanza.

Pastor Mwanza, you are very right. I am not a pastor but this just shows what can happen when church becomes profitable business!

I am disappointed with the stance taken by the Church, I hope they seek earnest counsel from the bible,
