THREE police officers employed as cashiers at Chilanga Interpol in Lusaka have been taken to court for alleged theft of over K90,000 through false entries when clearing vehicles.
Adamson Mbewe, 45, Mubanga Shula, a female officer aged 40, and 45-year-old Laston Mulenga, all of Lusaka, have been slapped with over 30 counts of theft by public servant and fraudulent false accounting.
Mbewe is facing 24 counts and is accused of stealing K87,402 while Shula and Mulenga are accused of pilfering K10,056 which they allegedly shared.
