Keep The Dialogue To Yourselves,UPPZ Tells Off Church, ZCID

United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia(UPPZ) President Charles Chanda says he will not be part of the dialogue process if the Church and the Zambia Centre for Interparty Dialogue(ZCID) have hidden motives.
Mr Chanda said in an interview after the Dialogue which was scheduled to place today, Friday 28th December 2018 was postponed, he said if the Church and ZCID appear to be taking sides UPPZ will not be part of it.

Mr Chanda said it has always been the party’s prayer that the Church keeps off the dialogue process because it may end up messing up God’s name.
“I am not going to be part of these games by the Zambia Center for Interparty Dialogue and the Three Church Mother Bodies over the dialogue process, there must be something hidden from these two groups,” Mr Chanda has said.
The UPPZ leader said ZCID and the Three Church Mother Bodies must sort out their differences because it is getting clear that there is a fight between the two institutions, saying conflict is longer between the UPND and PF but between the two organisations that are facilitating the dialogue process.

Mr Chanda said people are now making an issue out of the dialogue process.
He said some politicians are “being treated like children who are told when and when not to come for the proceedings and therefore, we will not be part of such games”.
Mr. Chanda reiterated that from the very beginning, the party’s position has been that the church should have been excluded from the dialogue process because it is putting God’s name to ridicule.

He said if ZCID and the Church want to use the dialogue platform to resolve their fight, UPPZ which is only two years old will not be part of it but will continue with party mobilization.

Mr. Chanda regretted
suspending his flight yesterday just to attend the announced preparatory dialogue meeting today, which was abruptly postponed.
