TWELVE suspected criminals facing various charges, among them armed robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm, have escaped from holding cells at Chawama Police Station.

The suspects escaped 25 minutes after midnight yesterday and police have launched a manhunt for them, said police spokesperson Esther Katongo in an interview.
