Zambian To Send Nurses And Doctors to Angola

President Edgar Lungu has authorized the Ministry of Health to proceed with engagement with the Angolan Government in the area of human capital.

Zambia and Angola have since signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing cooperation to foster and improve health provisions between the two countries.

Health Minister Dr. Chitalu Chilufya announced the development after he signed the agreement with Angolan Minister of Health Dr. Silvia Lutucuta in Lusaka last evening.

Dr. Chilufya who could not disclose how many nurses and doctors among other professionals will be sent to Angola said through the agreement, students from Angola will be coming to Zambia to train in various medical fields.

He said the agreement will also enable the two countries to exchange ideas on health-related matters.

Angolan Minister of Health Silvia Lutucuta who is in the country requested the Zambian government to help her country fill the vacancies in the health sector in that country.

    send clinical officers as we need the doctors that are availabe
