Lusaka DC Warns Schools Making Purchase Of Uniforms From Them A Mandate

Lusaka District Commissioner Davies Mulenga has warned head teachers and teachers in the country not complying with the directive by government not to sell uniforms mandatory in schools.

He says the commission has received complaints from the public alleging that head teachers are still forcing pupils and parents to buy uniforms from their various schools adding that strict measures have been put in place to stop the situation.

Speaking when addressing head teachers in Lusaka, Mr. Mulenga said the matter must be taken seriously as it infringes on the economies of families and inhibits the provision of education.
