United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia (UPPZ) President Charles Chanda has challenged the Patriotic Front to refrain from mocking the Zambian people on failure to actualise it’s pronouncement of being pro-poor government.
And Mr Chanda says that it is out of question that the Patriotic Front must justify why street vendors must go back to the streets when there is end to street vending by the legislative.
“l wish to advise PF led government to refrain from mocking the country by expressing themselves as a pro-poor government.
This came out as they were trying to justify why they must bring back street vendors without going through the proper channels which removed the street vendors.” Chanda recalled.
He further mocked the Patriotic Front self-claimed pro-poor stating that while cabinet ministers are stealing money and building mansions majority of Zambians are living in abject poverty.
Meanwhile, UPPZ leader has also advised the PF to leave beyond the perpetual campaigning mood which the country has been subjected to at the expense of meaningful development where even empowerment for marketeers is mainly done in areas slated for by-elections.
He says such empowerment bring about more poverty than help as most beneficiaries who received these money take it that it’s a campaign share for their benefit and not business.
