Zambian Shot Dead In South Africa

A ZAMBIAN national based in South Africa has been shot dead by criminals during a robbery.

Victor Sulamoyo, 49, was shot dead on Friday evening in Cape Town while visiting his young brother.

The death of Mr. Sulamoyo has been confirmed to Lubuto Community News by his young brother Robert Sulamoyo Jr.

Brief facts are that Mr. Sulamoyo was on Friday evening visiting his young brother Robert at his wholesale shop in Khayelitsha when they were ambushed by four criminals as they were about to close the shop.

“My brother came to visit me last evening to check on the progress of the roofing which we are currently doing at my shop. As we were about to close around 19:00 hrs, four guys came in. Two of them had guns. One of the guys shot my brother without any provocation which also shocked the other criminals. They grabbed the bag my brother was carrying and bolted. We rushed my brother to the hospital but he was pronounced dead upon arrival”, said Sulamoyo Jr.

The late Sulamoyo is a former resident of Lubuto who relocated to Cape Town in 2000. He is survived by a wife and two children. The late Sulamoyo will be buried in South Africa.
