Prophet Mesala has warned Northmead Assemblies of God church Bishop Joshua Banda to stop peddling messages of division in the country.

“Bishop joshua banda needs serious help as he has gone outside the word of God by bringing divisions in the country, ” said Prophet Mesala.

The prophet charged that its so sad to find a clergyman like Bishop Banda insulting opposition politicians at the expense of preaching unity in the country.
He urged Bishop Banda to choose one thing either to serve God or being a political cadre “for you can not serve two masters at the same time” said Prophet Mesala.

“A man of God should be a channel of love in the country and bring unity were there is confusion,” Prophet Mesala said.

“Iam disappointed to find Bishop Banda dividing the nation just for political gain, its unacceptable for a man of God to preach politics and God at the same time,” said Prophet Mesala.

On Monday, Bishop Banda caused outrage after he said that he would not vote for Hakainde Hichilema as he cannot make good president.

Bishop Banda further went on to say that Hakainde Hichilemas unpalatable language against President Lungu will not take him to state house.
In 2016 general elections, Bishop Banda was instrumental in organising PF structures in Lusaka were he was having dark corner meetings with them and in which every Sunday he could preach the message of re-electing President Lungu.
He has now turned his pulpit into a campagning platform.
