13 Human Remains Exhumed at Chingwere Cemetery Due to Heavy Rains

About thirteen human remains were yesterday exhumed at Lusaka’s Chingwere Cemetery due to heavy rains experienced in the capital city.

Lusaka city council public relations manager George Sichimba has confirmed to Phoenix News that the remains were discovered by council workers during their routine duties at the cemetery today.

Mr. Sichimba has disclosed that the remains have not been re-buried because the part of the cemetery where the incident occurred is still water logged.

This is the second time the incidence is occurring at chingwere cemetery in a space of five days with the first incidence having occurred on 11th February 2019.
