Statement On Pres. Demonstrating The Importance Of Investing In Education

President Lungu greets Lusaka Mayor Miles Samoa as Bowman Lusambo looks on

Zambian DNA commends President Edgar Lungu for demonstrating the importance of investing in education in both deeds and
words.

We are also elated that President Lungu, once again, underscored the importance of investing in education when he launched the Mukuba Secondary School Alumni in Kitwe, where he was once a
pupil.
Indeed, President Lungu has demonstrated how education is critical to the nation’s development process. For example, Government has invested heavily in the construction of many primary and secondary schools to enable many Zambians access quality and affordable education.   Recently,
Government also slashed school fees as a response to the outcry of high fees in public schools to enable many parents sent their children to school. We believe that President Lungu has a vision to educate all Zambians regardless of their political or religious affiliation.
However, we have noted with dismay how some disgruntled elements have criticized Government instead of appreciating the good work Government is doing to improve the Zambians’  welfare.  We find these  arm-chair Government critics’ sentiments
unpatriotic, irrational and grossly
irresponsible. We expect them to
stop playing politics all the time, and join Government in finding lasting solutions to the many challenges the country is currently facing. In view of the foregoing, we urge all patriotic Zambians to support President Lungu as he means well for the country, and ignore the ranting of disgruntled elements.
