There has been outpouring grief for murdered Zambia National Service (ZNS) Makeni Clinic counsellor Clare Namutenda.
The 42-year-old Clare was reported missing to Chilenje Police by her husband Col. Maybin Mundengo also of ZNS around 21:00 hours on Friday.
“Later, the body of Clare Namutenda, the missing person was found dumped in Kabangwe area at a grave yard with deep cuts on the fore head,” Police spokesperson Esther Mwata Katongo said in a statement.
Two people including a foreign witch doctor have been arrested in connection with the murder.
Katongo named the two suspects as Abraham Hussen Phiri, a foreign traditional healer aged 28 and Loze Saviour also 28.
Katongo revealed that a Toyota van guard which was being driven by Clare was recovered from the duo with the number plate removed.
Clare was a civilian working at ZNS Makeni Clinic as a counsellor since 2017.
She leaves behind four children and a husband.
