ROAD Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) chief executive officer Zindaba Soko yesterday appeared before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court in connection with the raid that the Anti-Money Laundering investigative unit conducted at his house recently. Mr Soko appeared with Intelligent Mobility Solutions board chairman Walid El Nahas.
But the case could not proceed because the charge sheet for the accused was not before court and the offences slapped on the suspects are unknown. However, a source close to the case told this reporter that the charges against the duo relate to money laundering involving over US$100,000.
And when Soko and Nahas appeared before chief resident magistrate Lameck Mwale, the defence told the court that his clients were summoned by the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) to appear in court.
