Zambian DNA commends all political parties that participated in the by-elections held yesterday for conducting peaceful campaigns.                                     

We congratulate the ruling PF for scooping all the ward by-elections and the opposition UPND for retaining the Katuba parliamentary seat in the by-elections held yesterday.

We also commend the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) for conducting transparent, free and fair elections.

Indeed, winners should be magnanimous in accepting victory just as losers should accept defeat gracefully.

However, we expect those who have been ushered into office to work for the people that voted for them, and not play partisan politics at the expense of delivering the much -needed development in their respective areas.
