POLICE in Kitwe this morning fought running battles with residents of Chamboli Township over the conduct of officers from the Community Crime Prevention Unit commonly known as Neighbourhood Watch.
The residents have damaged property at Chamboli Market.
According to the witness the residents were accusing Neighbourhood Watch of abusing their powers by victimising citizens.
Several residents have been picked up by police and the situation is now calm.
