The Choma Local Court has adjourned the matter of a Kalomo based business man accused of marriage interference.
Byta FM Court Beat Journalist reports that Sylvester Kakumba is in this case claiming Thirty Thousand Kwacha compensation for marriage interference from Sonani Mukuni for allegedly sending love massages to the plaintiff’s wife.
However, the plaintiff’s first witness Spaghetti Mukuni, who is also the defendant’s elder brother, expressed ignorance about the case but says Kakumba told him about the messages that his younger brother sent to his wife.
Meanwhile, second witness Herbert Mungaila, the defendant’s cousin told court that Kakumba showed him the messages allegedly sent by Mukuni after which he approached the defendant who accepted sending the messages.
But Mukuni has denied Mungaila’s testimony that he accepted sending the messages to the plaintiff’s wife arguing the messages he sent were meant for Carina Mweene and not Hellen Mweene, the plaintiff’s wife.
However, Kakumba clarifies that Carina Mweene is his wife’s Facebook account with her photo and the defendant knows that Carina is the combination of his children’s names.
Magistrate Siachitema has since adjourned the matter to 20th September for Judgment.
