Former Zambia Railways employees of 1995 this morning staged a peaceful protest in Ndola on the Copperbelt demanding for their retirement packages.
Speaking to Phoenix News during the protest, Group Spokesperson Joseph Mukuka revealed that none of the workers who were retrenched in 1995 have not been paid their terminal benefits.
Mr. Mukuka explains that 215 employees were affected but the number has reduced as some of them have died.
The group has since appealed to government to intervene in the matter.
