‘Teaching Council Has Failed…’

‘Teaching Council Has Failed…’

I don’t know what others feel about what is happening in the ministry of education. But as for me, I feel devastated and pity for myself and other colleagues who are still chancing for employment in government.
I think the Teaching Services Commissioner (TSC) together with the Teaching council of Zambia (TCZ) have made our lives so difficult and miserable with the new policies that they are just introducing anyhow.
In the previous general recruitment of teachers, they made us fail to try our lucky because we thought only those who graduated 2015 and before where eligible to apply. But to our supprise even those who graduated in 2018 appeared in the daily mail papers.
Am so disappointed with the TSC because i have not seen anything better or sanity that they have brought in the recruitment of teachers apart from making it difficult for the number of things and money that they are demanding from the vunerable teachers.
I really wonder if these people (TCZ) and (TSC) do think about the economic status of their unemployed teachers and the costs that these teachers encounter just to do the registration for TCZ certificate. What is their role (TCZ) in the screening and verification of results, if individual teachers are doing everything for themselves? And why should teachers continue paying the same amounts to TCZ when individual teachers are paying ECZ and their Universities for the verifications of their certificates?
Can the TSC and TCZ just tell the public that they have failed to give people jobs unlike asking for so many things and increasing the costs for them.
Some people are travelling long distances as far as from chienge coming to lusaka. Now if you put together the costs of transports to and fro K700, lodging K500, food K300, and then K100 ECZ, K50 for the university, K600 TCZ and other local bus fairs In lusaka. This is just too much for someone who just graduated. Worse enough, after doing all this, there is no guarantee for a job to someone.
