The Zambia National Commercial Bank-ZANACO has reiterated the need to reposition itself through innovation in order to meet customers’ needs.
Speaking at the ZANACO Golden Jubilee shareholders engagement in Lusaka today, Bank Chairperson, Charity Lumpa says the bank understands the changing operational environment coupled with advancement in technology.
Ms Lumpa says as a result, zanaco will use the 50 years of existence in Zambia to reflect on the successes and the challenges and make continuous improvements in the way the bank does business with the aim of increasing and growing the bottom line and shareholder value going forward.
At the same event, zanaco chief executive officer Henk Mulder disclosed that the bank has consistently grown from 2016 by 32 percent from k1, 082 million to k1, 427 million in 2018.
Mr Mulder says the bank has profit after tax of over 300 percent from the loss of k62 million in 2016 to a profit of k184 million in 2018.
