I am Not A Mukula Thief, Cries Lungu

Republican President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has distanced himself from the illegal trade of Mukula which has become a subject of national debate.

Speaking when British Ambassador to Zambia Nicolas Wooley paid him curtesy call at State House this morning, Dr  Lungu said the talk of him being mentioned on the illegal trading of Mukula trees is an act of falsehood perpetrated by some Journalist. The President said Journalist should rise above fake news and return to professional Journalism.

He said he has retrained himself from acting on false publication, hoping Journalism will rise above fake news.

Dr  Lungu was speaking through his Spokesperson Isaac Chipape.

The News Diggers recently published an article that implicated President Lungu and his daughter Tasila in the illegal trade of Mukula trees.
