Zambian DNA is confident that President Edgar Lungu will retain power in 2021 given the massive infrastructure developmental projects rolled out in all parts of the country.

Indeed, Government has demonstrated the commitment to tackling the current challenges the country is grappling with such as embarking on alternative sources of energy projects to cushion the effects of power deficit.

The continued reduction of price of mealie meal by various milling companies is another positive indicator that the country is on the path to economic recovery.

The assurance by Government that the user fees in both primary and secondary schools will be not be increased next year is another Government’s landmark achievement.

However, it’s unfortunate that opposition political parties in their usual futile attempt to gain cheap political mileage have deliberately given a blind eye to great strides Government has scored in this short period of time they have been in power.

We advise the opposition leaders to desist from issuing inflammatory and provocative statements that hold the potential to divide the nation, and disrupt peace in the country.

In view of the foregoing, we appeal to the Zambian people to continue supporting President Lungu as he delivers an all-inclusive development agenda in his quest to improve the Zambian people’s welfare without leaving anyone behind.
