Some Chingola residents say they are happy with the operations of the Police deployed to restore peace and order after reported criminal activities.

Police have in the recent days made over six arrests in connection with the gassing of citizens and unconfirmed reports of killings in the town.

Residents interviewed in the town centre said calm is slowly returning to Chingola due to increased police patrols.

‘We thank the Government through the police command for bringing more officers to Chingola. Police are now everywhere and are arresting wrong doers,’ a female vegetable trader told Radio Icengelo News in the Chingola Town Centre.
