The church has set Thursday 20th To 22nd February 2020 as days of prayer and fasting following the evil happening in the country.

At a joint press briefing at Lusaka’s Cathedral of the Holy Cross, Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia executive director (EFZ) Bishop Paul Mususu said as the body of Christ, the church has called for three days of prayer and fasting in view of the gassing incidences happening in the country.

“We shall fast and pray to seek God’s wisdom and intervention in this matter,” Bishop Mususu added.

He added that the Church shall also help provide community leadership in responding to assisting victims and shall also help provide community leadership in responding to assisting victims.

Catholic Priest, Father Laston Lupupa has also called on Zambians not to act out of fear but to guard the peace the country has enjoyed since independence.

He has since urged Zambians to remain steadfast as God is with the nation and on their side.
