Statement On Setting Up Of Contingency Fund On Corona Virus

The Zambian DNA commends President Edgar Lungu and his Government for the swift and timely preparedness response to the corona virus threat by approving through Cabinet the setting up of a Contingency  fund for prevention and mitigation measures to the corona virus, which started in China resulting in many deaths and has now spread to many countries across the world.

The timely move to create the said fund which is meant to mitigate social, economic and cultural effects the corona virus may cause on our great nation, demonstrates that indeed President Lungu cares and has a heart for the people of Zambia.

We appeal to the Zambian people to stand together and support the Government in their noble quest to deliver quality health care without leaving anyone behind.
