Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya says Zambia has recorded 3 new cases in the last 24hrs from 150 tests conducted bringing the cumulative total to 48 with 16 active cases.
Dr. Chilufya says all patients are stable including the 74-year-old who is off oxygen and recovering well adding that government has escalated activities in Kafue and still escalating activities in other parts of the country tonight the pandemic.
Speaking during a press briefing in Lusaka today, Dr. Chilufya said a team of rapid response personnel are on the ground to ensure all those found positive are taken to quarantine facilities.
He said that members of the community suspected to have a fever will be screened and taken to various quarantine facilities where necessary adding that health promotion messages will continue to be disseminated creatively to ensure citizens continue to adhere to the measures that are being given by the Ministry of Health.
