Zambia Recorded A 7 COVID-19 Cases Increasing The Cumulative Total To 145 .

Government has recorded a 7 COVID-19 cases increasing the cumulative total to 145 .

This is our of 468 tests conducted.

Health Minister Dr. Chitalu Chilufya has told Smart Eagles that 9 patients have been discharged raising the number of recoveries to 101.

He has since indicated that the country currently stands at 41 active cases .

Meanwhile Dr. Chilufya has on behalf of Republican President Dr. Edgar Lungu delivered a message of condolences to the family of Ian Mutambo a frontline Health Personnel who died in a Power Tools Road Traffic Accident .

He said President Lungu was devastated by Ian’s demise adding that he will ensure that the bereaved family receives the necessary support .

Meanwhile Ian’s uncle Mr. Humphrey Chisenga has advised Members if the public to stop finger-pointing on his sons demise on grounds that accidents are never planned by anyone.

He said his son died while performing national duties and accidents occur under normal circumstances.

Ian Mutambo was born in 1996 and was employed by the Ministry of Health in 2018.

He has since been put to rest at Mufubushi village in MPIKA District.
