Govt Extends Validity Of Public Service Vehicle Driving Licenses From 1 to 3 Years

Minister of Transport and Communications Mutotwe Kafwaya has today signed the Road Traffic Driving license regulation of 2020, which extends the validity of Public Service Vehicle, PSV driving licenses, from 1 year to 3 years.

Mr. Kafwaya says the SI will now be sent to government printers and to be printed as a gazette which will become into effect within 30 days.

Speaking during the signing of the document in Lusaka today, Mr. Kafwaya assured the Drivers that there has been a reduction in transaction costs for both the drivers and the employers.

He said this will subsequently reduce the cost of doing business in the transport sector.

Mr. Kafwaya encouraged those with PSV licenses valid for one year to visit RTSA to renew their licenses to extend the validity to 3 years.
