Government Through The Lusaka High Court STOPS The Post, Mobi Tv, Muvi Tv From Announcing Election Results As Heavy Armed Soldiers ‘Seal’ State House

The Lusaka High Court has granted an exparte injuction to restrain the Post Newspapers, Muvi Television, and Mobi International Limited from publishing and announcing results of the 2011 tripartite elections.
Lusaka High Court Judge Jane Kabuka says “it is hereby ordered and directed that the defendants whether by themselves, servants, agents or whomsoever be and are hereby restrained from printing, publishing, running or carrying speculative stories on the tripartite election results held on 20th September, 2011 and subsequent dates and further from printing, or publishing or announcing election results before official results have been made by the electoral commission of Zambia.”
Judge Kabuka has further ordered that “if you the within mentioned respondents whether by yourselves, servants, agent or otherwise howsoever disobey this order you shall be liable to contempt of court and shall therefore be committed to prison.”
The three private media institutions have also been restrained from announcing election results ahead of, and prior to the Electoral Commission of Zambia verification and announcement.
High Court Judge Kabuka has since set September 23, 2011 as date for the interparte hearing.
The injunction was filed by Attorney general Abyudi Shonga.
Meanwhile, State house has been sealed by heavy armed soldiers when Mr. Banda is on record urging other political parties taking part in the elections to accept the election results.
However, the Patriotic Front (PF) has since written to the European Union Election Observation Mission to intervene in the turn of events which they said may lead to civil strife if not brought under control.
Tumfweko is however keeping tabs on what is happening and obtaining on the ground and will keep you updated.

    Fellow Zambians,

Most of you are wondering why I held a closed door meeting with the EU observers. The reason is simple.
That Kaponya called Sata is heading for a clear victory and I have not prepared myself mentally and emotionally to lose. So in my desperation, I summoned the EU boys and girls and threatened them of the “danger” Sata’s victory poses to my very useful trips abroad. And have you seen how Thandiwe stopped buying clothes from Kamwala? Awe shuwa !?!

So in the interest of national security (aka my trips abroad and Thandiwe’s new wardrobe), I have muzzled all news outlets not under my control and that of William Banda. Further more, any one who even whispers Sata winning may cause me a heart attack so the punishment is therefore death by hanging.

    Yours tluely.
    Ala B
p/s: I have added more security at State House to make sure no one comes here to remind me that Sata has won.

The will of the people should prevail by all means. This means every vote from all the 150 constituencies should be counted. You cannot start celebrating winning a football match even before you have reached half time. Let us be patient brothers.

After all this is just politics. Whoever wins, we still have to work together to develop mother Zambia. In fact the reason we all are so emotional about this election is because we all care about this country and want the best for it. Our differences only lie on how we do this.

I doubt very much if any lazy person would benefit even if any of the candidates win. The truth is that any diligent hard working person would be successful regardless of whoever takes over. This is fundamental in every society.

As long as there is information black out people will speculate, give the masses information then they wont panic. Its like the chaos theory. But as long as ECZ and the president dont that, the possibility of chaos will be there.

This RB since he is NOT Zambian he does not care if Zambia goes on fire. All Political parties had monitors. So what have they compiled from the polling statins and from the Civic Centres. If MP’s are celebrating their individual wins as announced in Districts. what the hell is going on at ECZ. NO wonder they did not want PVT. Where are the fake pastors who were acting as praise singers for RB?

    this might sound bitter, but people, am sorry, i also wanted change from rupiah banda’s corruption more than everyone of you. but listen, the program is like this; today, they are going to finish announcing, declare rupiah as winner,tomorrow swearing in. sata will lose by a small margin. all is set.ecz has all the figures to make rupiah win, this caused the delay in announcing.this is true from a liable source rupiah will be president no matter wat happens, thats why you are seening those soldiers.guests are being invited already. QUESTION;

    WHAT IS THE WAY FORWARD?

such things will just cause more speculation and the results being rejected by the electorate across the country. there is totally no transparency in these elections. the EU and the rest of the outsiders cannot choose who should lead Zambia. let the will of the people prevail. if the Zambians want HH or Sata, then let it be. but if ecz is withholding results like this, they should not blame the people if they run amok because they are inciting people by keeping them in suspense.

I hope today doesn’t end without declaring the final results. Its high time all of us started attaching importance to such national issues. If these tricksters had their way, they would just remain mute as though no election had been conducted in the first place…. just hopping we would all wake up, having forgotten that an election had actually taken place. Lol. And business would continue as usual for them. This continued suspense is really calculated. I know this from my UNZA days. I will seat back and watch without blinking for the time being. The ball is in their court after all.
