Rupiah’s Acceptance Of Defeat Commended.

The Operation Young Vote (OYV) has commended former republican president Rupiah Banda and the movement for multi-party (MMD) for selflessly conceding defeating to president-elect Michael Sata and the Patriotic Front.

OYV Executive Director Guess Nyirenda says the power transition from the MMD to the PF was unprecedented and puts Zambia not only on top of Africa but the entire world.

Mr. Nyirenda says Zambia has shown the world that politicians should not take politics personal but should put the nation and its citizens in perception if democracy is to flourish.

Speaking to QFM, Mr. Nyirenda has since rated Zambia as an icon of democracy in the world today.

And the OYV chief has also congratulated President Michael Sata on his election as republican president.
Mr. Nyirenda says President Sata%u2019s inaugural speech was inspiring and consoling to the majority Zambians that gave him their votes.

He states that his message offers life to the young Zambians whose lives were filled with hopelessness due to lack of employment and empowerment.

Rupiah did not concede defeat out of his own wisdom, he was forced to. This might have been the most useless president we ever had. SO many scandals in just three years. Good riddance!

Zambian please stop commending RB. He did not conced defeat he just obey. He was so stubborn that even the intervention by the other people to take heed that he is heading for defeat didn’t sink in him. He was prepared to make the country ungovernable to extent that he was prepared to suspend the constitution and nullify the election results. The necks of the gallant security men were on the line.
The heros of the just ended elections are not RB and his mmd sycophants, so thaose commending him do not understand, that Zambia coulodhave been transformed into anoth eastern Congo or Somalia by the same guy, hand the really heroes and heroine of the just ended elections’Judge Mambilima, Justice Sakala, and General Lopa, IG Kabonde and their men and women they command stood up against him. These are men and women who by their courage and boldness ensured that country has a peaceful transition. RB was greed and was prepared to destroy the very fabric of the Zambian Democracy. So commending a man like RB is a sheer waste of time. He should just retire and go write his memoirs.

don’t be fooled, the only reason he conceded the whitewash was because there was no way he could have worked around those figures, he was way behind Sata. So don’t think it was his good heartedness that made him accept the defeat, rigging just became too complicated considering the figures involved and any other option on his part wasn’t so much of an option at all. And why do people keep on congratulating him for “graciously” conceding defeat and handing over power, of course that’s what is EXPECTED of him, isn’t that what losers do, don’t make it look like he was doing us a favor.

Sometimes people conceed defeat only when they realize that they have no support from anywhere for them to choose resistance.
Those who effectively have control of coersive force but who wisely choose the way of peace deserve to be commended even more.

I choose to agree with The Eye and Kay Hummer. People lets stop commending this egghead for conceding defeat. The truth we all know is he knew he had lost by wednesday morning and was in the process trying to do anything possible to keep himself in plot 1. It took other people to pump sense into his head to handover power to the winner and this took over 24 hours. he was advised by OP there was just no way it was possible to manipulate the results. why should the thief be praised? It pains so much to see a thief being led to jail with high accolades

PEOPLE DO YOU KNOW WHY RUPIIYYAA WAS CRYING WHEN HE WAS GIVING HIS LAST REMARKS BEFORE HE WAS FINALLY BERRIED? IT WASN’T THAT BECAUSE HE LOST, BUT BECAUSE HE WAS THINKING OF THE FUNDS HE ABUSED DURING HIS 3 YRS REIGN.NEWS HAS IT “THAT HE IS THE ONLY PRESIDENT WHO HAVE RULE FOR THE SHORTEST PERIOD AND ACCUMULATED A LOT OF WEALTH.
FORGIVE HIM BUT LET HIM GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK.
