Newly appointed Inspector General of Police Martin Malama has pledged to work with government in trying to curb the corruption in the country.

Dr. Malama told Journalists soon after being sworn in by president Sata at State house that it is encouraging to see the President’s commitment of trying to improve the effectiveness of the police service in the country.

The police chief says he will ensure that the police service is responsive to the needs of the public by improving service delivery.

i know Dr. Malama failed to stamp out corruption because he was jr man now has grown old i think he will help Mr. Sata out corruption since election will be in 2016. But 2015 the country will experience the vice since many people will be very eager to be voted and the talk about corruption will not be there any more…. for one to win elections he needs to 1 a lier, 2 a crook and a corrupt person. for Mr. sata to win he used don’t kubeba what.slogan

In ndola traffic officers are making road blocks any how. In itawa they make by the railway-line Mr IG are these children of kabonde allowed to do so? We even know the names of these police officers doing this. So pliz sort out Ndola traffic officers so that they became children of your. We wish you all the best.

Congrats on you promotion Doc. My question: Why is it that every IG when just apponited promises to root out one or two reas of law offenders. Can you also eradicate in totality the following apart from corruption:

    1. Criminals that terrorise people in their homes, shops and offices including muminda.

    2. Bakaluma, kaponyas, pick pockets and other idlers in town centers esp Lusaka who keep harrasing innocent people (esp women) including tourists and visitors to our country

    3. Those street kid/adults are still a hazard/mess and are still around. Find an immediate lasting solution to them (they harass people esp women at night).

    4. Single out all those corrupt officers in your system. Remember, your system is as strong as your weakest officer!

If you need to succeed in you duties, be professional! Donchi come and say you were not told!
