Jacob, Chris In For Libya Clash

Jacob

Dario Bonetti has received a boost in his preparation for Saturday’s Group C final match against Libya following the arrival in the country of Jacob Mulenga, Christopher Katongo and Emmanuel Mayuka.

The trio is the last of the 24 member team to join camp ahead of the crucial match that will decide who earns a ticket to the 2012 Gabon/Equatorial Guinea Africa Cup.

Team manager Lusekelo Kamwambi confirmed the arrivals in an interview.

“Everyone now is around; Chris (Katongo) and Jacob (Mulenga) are in town and will join us in camp later. Mayuka (Emmanuel) arrived through Lusaka and is on his way so it is a full house,” Kamwambi said.

Mulenga who turns for Dutch side FC Utrecht reportedly missed his flight while Mayuka (BSC Young Boys) and Katongo (Henan Jianye) were engaged in club fixtures before setting off for Kitwe.

The team that has set up base at Kitwe’s Moba Hotel was scheduled to have its second training session at Arthur Davies Stadium.

With Libya within a point’s reach of the Chipolopolo, the game set for Nchanga Stadium in Chingola is expected to be a nervy affair.

Zambia tops the group on 12 points while Libya is in second spot on 11 points. In another Group C tussle third placed Mozambique will host rock bottom Comoros Islands.

Libya has been in camp for 18 days, and Zambia is expected to be in camp for just 2-3 days. And u expect the chipolopolo to carry the day? we need to be serious if we really have to progress in modern soccer! Just how can we have a foreign based coach?

Ba pompwe us we unceremoniously booted out the stupid mmd thieves so likewise you should justify your existence by beating the libyans. we are both coming from oppressive regimes so we all have a motivation to win but we are at home we should carry the day. ba simunyola you are right we dont need a foreign based coach

    Ba Simunyola,

Whether or not Libya where in camp for 18 days does count for anything, the first question you should ask your self is… Have they come with proffesionals,if they have then its not the team they will use because the FIFA official date for clubs to release there players was after the weekend games.

unless you tell us that you wanted him (Bonneti) to field Local Players only. truth be told i dont think there will be a local player in the starting line up….so, did you expect the coach to camp for three weeks with no one who will be on the starting line up.
    GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT.

18 days can be equated to 3 days under factorials.so chipolopolo boys have better preparations than libya and more over some players in libya camp were gotten from battle fronts.

zambia can carry the day though the fact is we dont have competitive players, our pros are in congo or in sa or china. the talent cud be there but remain unexposed for the right eyes to see

7causes of poor footbal in zambia

    1) corruption( In govt, admin and field levels)
2)poor diet and bad eating hbbit
    3) loose living i.e too much doing of every thing
    4) lack of education and vision
    5) too high levels of risk,ie once broken your leg forever packed
    6) poor infrastructure
7)Very low income to attract gifted players like me who have to weigh the alternatives and apply the opportunity costs

who ever advised Mbola to leave Europe just to warm benches at TP Mazembe must be a devil himself or must be a very close ally of the devil.Look at the boy….he is just a shadow of his former self because of the little game time he is having at Mazembe. For sure he does not deserve a place in the team at the moment.Same goes to the likes of Kasonde and Nkausu.

Ba Simunyola, dont xpose your foolishness if u know nothing about football. Theres no club that can allow its plyers go into residential camp for three weeks unless that plyayer is so useless, but then how does he compete with our players. If its a tournament somehoe yes but then 18 days is too much. Do u know that even European players were allowed to go and play for their counties after weekends matches? Players need to be fit by competing every week. MMD/UPND iwe Simunyola
