Opposition MMD appeals to Sata to abide by the constitution

Opposition Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) has appealed to Republican President Michael Sata to abide by the Republican Constitution in his execution of powers.

Party deputy national secretary Chembe Nyangu has told Qfm that President Sata took the oath to protect the Zambian citizenry regardless of religious or political affiliation and that this should bear fruits.

Mr. Nyangu says it is unfortunate that some perceived political opponents are being subjected to public ridicule, a situation he says should not manifest in Zambia’s democratic dispensation.

He says President Sata should govern the country under the umbrella of one Zambia one nation as he is a leader for the whole country.

Mr. Nyangu has since charged that members of the former ruling party are living in fear following recent attacks by suspected PF cadres and further calls on the PF government to unite the country.

Mr Deputy Secretary you sound very strange. When William Banda was mating out punishment on perceived opponents what did you say— when he cut people’s buttocks in Chongwe’s Waterfalls area what did you say— When bus stops were taken over by MMD hooligans what did you say— Please shut up and start looking for money to pay NAPSA and Bailiff fees.

Well, you are Zambian and i want to be fair. It is a good observation. However remember that should any lawsuits follow you. It should be taken as the individuals in PF will be persecuting you but the system is trying to normalise itself. When you go one extreme, it swings back like a swing to opposite extreme until air resistance slows it down to rest vertically in line with the centre of gravity. However in human dynamics there is nothing like air resistance slow down and you come to rest like in physics. Icalo tacitalala nga musunga.

You see how bad things look when you are sitting in the oppositions chair. You see wrong things happening but you have no power to act and influence things except to speak. Luck if you are heard and action taken.

    Good luck ba Nyangu.

About 44% of zambians voted Mr Sata into office , 56% VOTED NO. However the truth is Sata is the President for the entire country therefore he should govern as such. If this perceived persecution of the opposition continues, then it would imply that President Sata has not fully settled down as Republican President. It would mean that there are some overzealous PF cadres who don’t understand what it means for President Sata being the Father of the nation at the moment. If the MMD did wrong things , show us as PF that you are different and not other wise. we want Zambia that is better than where MMD left us. Pf should know that the task ahead of them is massive and i don’t think they were voted into office to show how better they can humiliate others who lost. As for iam waiting to see the policies of PF and there impact to the economy in the long run. Removing people from office for is normal .it happened in 1991 and therefore is not a test of how good or bad a leader is. Lets the policies that PF will usher in because it will show, then you will hear the voice of the 56% or more. Its a matter of time and therefore remember this country is for all zambians and for sure as they say life takes turns, next time as president Sata put it, it will be another party in office next time. There is no need of using fowl language as you blog. Respect other people and lets uphold the constitution of the Land. Viva the ruling PF and Viva the opposition, we are a democracy
