SATA Revokes Appointment Of Sherry Thole Before Swearing-In

REPUBLICAN President Michael Sata has revoked the appointment of former Ministry of Science permanent secretary Sherry Thole as ambassador to Sweden.
And the fate of former Protocol chief at State House Bob Samakai hangs in the balance after his appointment as permanent secretary at foreign affairs was revoked after working for a week.
Samakai was appointed PS two weeks ago but Foreign Affairs minister Chishimba Kambwili refused to work with him saying he is an MMD cadre.
Kambwili reported to Sata who immediately removed Samakai and ordered Kambwili to remove all MMD supporters in the diplomatic services.
Sata promised to appoint Samakai as ambassador to a country yet to be identified but sources say he may be left out completely.
Samakai was replaced by Peter Kasanda as PS at Foreign affairs.
Kasanda is around 80 years old and was former envoy to USA in the 1960s and 70s.
In the same line of confusion, Sherry Thole was sacked as permanent Secretary then appointed ambassador to Sweden a week ago.
After four days, her appointment as ambassador was withdrawn before she was even sworn-in. She has already received the later of withdraw.
It is believed that PF female supporters protested the appointment of Thole saying she was in the MMD campaign team.
Sources say Sata is in the process of appointing reverend Edith Mutale, the woman who claimed that she was beaten at former president Chiluba’s funeral.

ON THESE APPOINTMENTS I WILL ADVICE THE PRESIDENT TO DO THOROUGH RESEARCH ON SOME OF THE PEOPLE TO BE APPOINTED SO THAT APPOINTING AND DISAPPOINTING DOES NOT CAUSE HIM SOME EMBERASSMENT.

Surely this is not healthy at all Mr. President. Firstly there is no intelligence and proper profiling of these appointees. Please we voted for you in good faith and we expect you to take your time and do things correctly, speed kills. Also stick to your campaign promises of empowering the youth your Excellency. Zambia has a wealthy of intelligent brains to execute these jobs and not the 80yr olds! The 80yr olds are tired and all they need is a deserved rest and play an advisory role just like the great KK. Please think over this before we start losing faith and trust in you because blunders are becoming too many!!

Lets give HE Mr sata chance to lead us. even me if i engaged someone as a maid or gadern boy at my house and later discover they have bad record, i can fire them instantly!!! but it would nt mean i didnt take to find out more about these people but it could be that the information i had at the time could not have been accurate, and info poured in after i had decided to engage someone.

keep firing them, its just like the issue of refugee MP, how and where on earth did a refuse become MP in foreign land? its very annoying, coz next time this chap was going to vie for presidency! let the law decisively deal with this chap and all pipo connected.

Man of action, always behind you!!!!!!

Mr.President I am one of your members at branch level in Bwana Mkubwa Ndola.Ask Agriculture Minister. My worries are as follows:
*You have been making reversals on appointments. This is showing some lack of thorough consultations.
*You have continued getting people from retirement into jobs.
Therefore when you come to appoint young men in civil service to fill some vacancies, think of me.

First it was the 10 niminee MPs then Sayfwanda saga and now this (not to mention appointing a bankrupt officer, and the Angola thing)…ama gaffs yachilamo and we are giving the oppsition ammunition to throw at us. We don’t always want to be defending our prez even in trivial issues which cud be avoided if their is consultation within the team. Bakateka you are not alone. You have 13 million people to look after

It’s unproffessional for the pres.Chilufya Sata to continue appointing cadres when young learned ladies and gentlemen are languishing in streets.I suppose the president detest cadrism on wander he Fired all District Commisssioners.

Please lets be mindful of our colleagues who have been in civil service for too long and longs for a moment of such an appointment. Please advise our president correctly.

Mr.President, plse make research before making announcements, this back paddling is embrasing, and again when you make appointments on merit dont reverse because one PF carder say he can not work with an MMD carder.REMEMBER THEY ARE ALL CARDERS

First it was over nomination, second its it regrouping of ministries withouit parlimentary approval, then abolition of secreary to the treasury post followed by apology to Angola at time when the two countries are enjoying cordial relation to the extent that MMD under MWANAWASA and BANDA wanted to build a railwaline , then appointing and disp[pointing PEOPLE WITHIN HOURS OF APPOITMENT, THEN APOITING OF OLDEM IN KYEY POSTIONS LUIKE FINACE ANHD FOREIGN AFFIARS.JUSDT WITHIN THE NINETY DAYS THIS TRULLY THE CHANGE YOU NEEDED.More mistakes are coming .Truly speed kills and this man has the capacity to ground the counry to halt.

WE TOLD YOU THIS MAN IS CONFUSED.

SATA you are now president of our beautiful nation Zambia, not president of PF you have to learn that and do all these in the interest of mother Zambia. The pipo who voted for you were not all PF so you have to be mature enough to know that. Also remember you have been making a lot of noise for the last 10 years in opposition and promising young people and women alot. But your tendencies in the last 30 days are a danger to our lovely nation of Zambia. If this was the “DONCHI KUBEBA” you meant that when you come into power thats when you will start KUBEBA your true unlawful pronouncements, appointments of ancestors, disappointments on non PF citizens, over nominations, unfounded appologies to Angola and yet you have a pending issue with Malawi which you cannot resolve, and many more. I hope you are not going to continue to do harm to our Nation and by behaving like; a police, judge, lawyer, parliament, national assembly, witchdoctor, “CHUMBU MUNSHOLOLWA”, etc. We the Zambians and voters are watching you closely, don’t think we are foolish.
