KATELE, KAVINDELE Ready To Shame RB

Enoch kavindele

Former Vice-President, Enoch Kavindele, who was on a campaign trail with former president Mr. Rupiah Banda, has called for a financial probe on all former senior ministers and MMD officials to be investigating on suspicions that they looted national resources.

Kavindele, who was hoping between Banda’s official planes and helicopters during the last election, said that President Michael Sata should be supported in his fight against corruption.

Speaking to The Sunday Post, Kavindele said there was no person who was above the law.

“If government is going to arrest them that is fine. Why I would I defend people who have stolen from the poor people of Zambia”. He said.

He claimed that he had a difficult relation with the MMD and only came to help in the campaigns in the last action because Banda asked him.

“He was Republican President. To have declined his invitation would have amounted to insubordination.” He justified.

Dr Katele Kalumba

Many accused Kavindele of joining the campaign trail to seek political favours and save his ten year old railway contract that was designed to link Solwezi and Chingola but has never taken off. Kavindele has had this contract cancelled twice and he has failed to pay for pre-requisite fees such as the US$100,000.00 for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) with ECZ.

Joining the calls for a probe, Former Finance Minister and former MMD national Secretary, Dr. Katele Kalumba has called for a probe of former leaders to justify the huge costs spent in the last elections. Speaking to The Sunday Mail, Katele demanded from the party leadership to explain its source of funding.

He wondered how the heavily indebted and cash strapped party had accumulated and displayed so much wealth in the last elections.

Kavindele and Katele join other officials from the former ruling party who are airing strong views against the MMD leadership and demonstrating opportunistic posturing.

The two guys are fine in their opinion to call upon investigations into monies spent by MMD in the just ended elctions. People and institutions need to declare source of their income. In the UK,USA and other western countries parties non disclosure not declare their sources of income is an offence denting party.
All former ministers and other former govt. officers need screening and net culprits for courts to prosecute.
Zambia is also entitled to hear final conclusion on Dr Katele Kalumba cases of office abuse.

Katele and EK please come out in the open and tell us what you know. Katele’s wife is in MMD NEC. EK went with RB throughout Zambia campaigning for MMD without questioning that unprecedented lavish expenditure for an election. Katele’s case of corruption must still be in court if am not mistaken. The two are not clean, but just wish to get off the hook by praising Sata. They wish to take advantage of their ‘popularity’ in Luapula and NWProvince for PF to embrace them to gain political mileage in those provinces.

Kavindele is a bootlicker… if he knew that the MMD regime was very corrupt and had stolen alot from the poor zambians, why did he agree to be part of the Campaign team for RB? why didnt he Refuse and de-campaign MMD like Mpombo and Lameck Mangani did? He is making a U-turn to safe guard the bribes that he benefited from Rb including the contract to construct a rail from Solwezi to chingola and enrich himself…! Dr Katele, we understand, he has never been MMD since FTJ left the presidency, he just hanged around and wait for his court cases, he want them to Former MMD senior officials to experience what he has experienced the past 10years

Just tell us how much money you received in those brown envelopes from RB. As for Katele, I cannot say much about him because it was believed that he was in the ‘Don’t Kubeba euphoria’
Reliable sources in Chiengi have it that he was a staunch supporter of Pabwato.
