ZAMBIA Beat ANGOLA To WIN 2011 COSAFA U20 CHAMPIONSHIP And Keep Trophy For GOOD

ZAMBIA’S TUPOLOPOLO have lifted the 2011 metropolitan COSAFA U20 Tournament trophy after beating Angola 2-1 at Gaborone’s UB stadium in Botswana.
Cup finals are won by special and individual brilliance, and that’s the summation of the Under-20′s victory in Gaborone after the Keagan Mumba coached side came from a goal down to beat the stubborn Angolan youngsters in what was a nerve wrecking final.
With the young Palancas Negras leading, red hot Evans Kangwa scored from a tight angle for his seventh goal which earned him the top scorer award.
The match was heading for post match penalties but again it was another Nkana forward Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba on the scoresheet with his fifth goal of the tournament.
‘Sate Sate’ looped the ball over the Angolan goalkeeper in injury time as the 17 year old’s goal broke the hearts of the tough Angolans.
Kangwa was also named player of the tournament and now join the national team camp on Tuesday with Sate Sate and Bruce Musakanya.
Zambia will keep the trophy after winning it three times in a row.

Don’t talk about Renard. Those 3 youngsters will learn even more skills from him. Mbola confessed how he has benefited from Renard as the coach.

I watched live at the stadium, it was nail biting final, i even wanted to rewind Evans’ final goal in slow-mo just to see how he managed to score from that angle unfortunately its a disadvantage watching live! big ups boys they did us proud even as Zambians who live in foreign lands. Sometime I do wish the under 20 was the senior team, they are much more consistent even predictable. Believe me, everybody was sure Zambia will lift the trophy – Again!
