RENARD Says “Victory Over Senegal NOT A Surprise”

Herve Renard says the victory over Senegal was not a surprise to him.
In a post match press conference the Frenchman said the win was a result of hard work from his players.
“It is not a surprise for us it is a result of a lot of hard work. I started this work in 2008 unfortunately I left Zambia,” Renard said.
“Do you think that it is a surprise that Equatorial Guinea is hosting this tournament? For me it is not a surprise.”
The Frenchman singled Switzerland based striker Emmanuel Mayuka who turns up for Young Boys as the star performer on the night.
“This boy (Mayuka) started with me before he went to Europe. I know him perfectly and we knew we were able to do that,” he said.
“I think we had a very good first half we had our opportunities to score and knew we had to play behind their back because they have strong players.”
He added: “We were not able to play in the air that means we did the perfection. In the first half we missed a lot of opportunities to score but the most important thing was to win the game.”
Renard said, “”We were a bit lucky in the second half you (Senegal) touched the post today thanks to God he was with us today.”
The Chipolopolo beat the overrated Senegal 2-1 on Sunday night to ascend to the summit of Group A. Zambia plays Libya in four days time.

THE TEAM WILL GO VERY FAR MORE ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY WIN THE GAME AGAINST LIBYA WHICH WILL BE TIGHTY CONTESTED.THEY SHOULD JUST BE FOCUST AND PLAY AS A TEAM.FOOTBALL IS ALL ABOUT TEAM WORK AND THEY SHOULD LEARN TO UTILISE THE CHANCE WHEN IT UNVAILS.

Chipolopo started on a very good not, confusing the enermy. However they slightly lost control over the ball in the second half to the extent of allowing that ****** goal. They stopped attacking… We rally behind u guys… Go Zambia Go… 2012 yapa Zed. As for Libya 3-0 wil be enough for them.

Well done HR nd the boys. We can do it this time coz our biggest problem has always been inferiority complex especially against teams like Cameroon, Nigeria nd Egypt. Thank God they aint there this time so the rest, we can take them on nd beat them nicely. Just don’t be too confident against Libya. Work had nd win this game. This is our time. Go Zambia.. God Bless You.

@alien.. when you make a budget, you use the budget as a control measure, a guideline.. so if you make a budget for lets say lunch, k80,000 and decide to to buy an k80,000 meal its not a waste.. faz was given 200 million am not sure, so if its used how is it a waste? check the budget

hey hey wat can i say i did’nt expect that but all the same congrats to the lads.Though my concern is we are good starters and bad finishers.the reading of the game by HR was perfect but the sub he used did not change the game Hr needs pipo on the bench who can turn around things not worsen it.the best defence is to attack with goals. well done lads and HR good comanding there i like it.
