UPND: Mutati’s Resignation Will Undermine The Opposition
The United Party for National Development (UPND) has noted that the resignation of MMD’s Felix Mutati as leader of the opposition in parliament is most likely to undermine the opposition in the house.
UPND Spokesperson Charles Kakoma has told QFM news that the resignation of the Mr. Mutati also negatively affects the enhancement of parliamentary democracy.
Mr. Kakoma feels that Mr. Mutati should have considered resolving the problems that he had with his party rather than resorting to resigning.
Mr. Mutati resigned on Saturday during a NEC meeting held in Lusaka.
Mr. Mutati attributed his resignation to some MMD MPs who were pushing for his removal through a petition.

It’s UPND which undermines oppositions bcos HH thinks he is super among all the oppositions but always comes third. I, the Chief Justice in 2031, declared that Elias Chipimo Jnr shall take over the Presidency in 2031. HH declared WARD TRUSTEE for Dambwa ward.

Mutati is smart, he just preempted what was forthcoming. He said some members were collecting signatures to petition his removal! He cut a long process short. The MMD has accepted his resignation. So what is Kakoma talking about?

if nevers is to succeed, let him consider working with mutati closely it will give him some extra muscle. Let them be running if at all that close pulls through into the constitution, that will definitely cause some headaches with their competition

Mutati was being bullied by some Nevers Mumba syconphants and he preempted them! Some poor MMD MP wants the benefits of leader of the opposition in the house even though they may actually just weaken the opposition. Let’s see who will succeed him.
