The Plot Thickens: HH, MILUPI In Plan To End ‘Bemba’ Rule

The United Party for National Development (UPND) and the Alliance for Democracy and Development (ADD) have embarked on a scheme in which they have taken their political battles against the PF as a fight for power against Bemba speaking regions.

And sources have disclosed that former president Rupiah Banda is more supportive of UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema than MMD president Nevers Mumba.

Tribalism has crippled Milupi too

The sources said that UPND leader Hichilema and ADD President Charles Milupi have concentrated their campaigns in their regions, Southern and Western Provinces respectively to convince the people to reject the PF as being a “Bemba party”, but they hope to utilise the support they are getting from former president Rupiah Banda to blindfold MMD president Nevers Mumba into an alliance with the two parties so that he can help them by delivering votes from Muchinga, Northern, Luapula and Copperbelt provinces in order to “wrestle” power from the Northeners.

Recently, ADD president Charles Milupi was in Western Province where he was alleging that the PF government was scheming to reduce the powers of the Litunga of Western Province. Milupi is said to have held a series of meetings to promote the alleged “anti-Bemba” scheme.

Hakainde

Since its formation, the ADD has only managed to win a seat in Western province, particularly in the area where Milupi hails from, where the party has concentrated its political activities.
“What PF must realise is that the whole campaign by UPND and ADD has gone tribal. Mr. Milupi is using the Barotseland Agreement to turn the people against the PF by portraying issues like they were injustices committed by the Northerners against the Westerners. But if you observe closely, he has not even stated clearly if he himself would honour the agreement in the event that he was elected president, and if so, how he would honour it. So it’s just a political gimmick to take advantage of the people’s passions about the agreement. That’s why some of us are not in support of Milupi and HH because we do not want tribalism,” a source said.

The source wondered how Milupi hoped to be a president for the whole Zambia when he was working with people calling for secession and has not clearly stated whether he disagreed with the idea of secession.

Milupi is also reported to have said during a programme broadcast in Lozi language on a South Africa based radio station, Channel Africa, that the Litunga was superior to other traditional leaders in Zambia, such as Paramount Chiefs Chitimukulu of the Bemba and Mpezeni of the Ngoni.

“How is he going to be president if on one hand he’s working with those advocating for the secession of Western Province while on the other he wants to rule Zambia? What is his position on the question of honouring the Barotseland Agreement?” The source wondered, adding, “If you remember, Milupi was almost beaten last year for mentioning the word ‘Zambia’ at a meeting in Mongu.”

And other sources have said that there is disenchantment within the MMD as a result of the activities of former president Rupiah Banda, who seems to be more trusting and supportive of Hichilema than his own party president Mumba.

“RB is for HH. That’s why he gave his blessings for William Banda’s decision to join UPND. Ask yourself, who was in that advance party that was involved in an accident for RB’s trip to the Eastern Province, recently? Wasn’t it UPND members?” said the MMD insider.

The source revealed that the party was divided regarding Rupiah’s activities, saying there were those who supported the idea of MMD just helping UPND to remove PF, while the majority feared Hichilema was too tribal to be trusted with power.

“My brother I can assure you that RB is still bitter with President Sata over his defeat last year. He is in hurry to revenge using other people, and he thinks Hichilema is his better ally since the young man hates President Sata, and generally Bembas, and he is equally bitter,” said the source before adding, “But do you think this is good for the country? No! RB must completely come to terms with his defeat rather than sowing seeds of division all because of losing an election. Most of us in the MMD would rather work with PF than UPND.”

The source further said Hichilema and Milupi were hoping to ride on Nevers Mumba’s strong stance against President Sata to gain countrywide support from MMD.

“The problem is that Nevers is quite naïve. He does not see the scheme behind the alliance with HH and Milupi. If you remember there were other opposition leaders that teamed up with HH and Milupi on the issue of suspension of judges. Where are they? They realised that there was more to that issue than just judges, so they have withdrawn to the rear,” the source said.

No matter how hard the westerners will try, they will never rule this country. Imagine if they can react like this whilst in opposition, what can happen if they were to lead this country? Total chaos. God knows this and will not allow them. GO SATA GO, GO CHIPIMO GO AND GO MUMBA GO. Let the dog lie.

The gimmick being used by the opposition is to fight fire with fire. Fight tribalism with tribalism. Actually people should not continue advocating for Bemba rule because this may result into genocide. All other objective tribes know how Presidents from Bemba speaking groups have let us down with their own tribalism, nepotism, corruption, plunder of national resources & generally lack of ability to govern. The Bemba groups know their own inferiority in terms of education & social development, so they end up using their numbers to impose useless presidents on Zambians. One day this will backfire, be warned in advance. The day Easteners will realise that they are just being used like mops will be the end of Bemba rule because all other tribes will gang up against these Bemba tribalists who like accusing others of tribalism.

In zambia there are almost 72 tribes and 21% of it are bemba speaking pipo. Then Nevers Mumba, this name sounds lik he is 1 of the 21%. So for Mulupi and HH to embark on this alliance is a share of waisting time. The trueth is that HH will not win any election but the part that will challange FP is not yet formed. STOP Tribalism HH & Milupi.

AUTHOR OF THIS ARTICLE, You are a Bemba who seems to have bitter hatred for Lozis and Tongas. Now you are trying to divide the nation on tribal lines with your well calculated tribal arguments intended to insite Bembas to attack the Lozis and Tongas. You are such a tribal Bemba and yet you are calling Tongas and Lozis tribal to cover you evil tracks. Now the bloggers have bought your lies and are insulting the Lozis and Tongas just as you had intended it to be. SHAME ON YOU TRIBAL BEMBA. But I know that not all Bembas are as tribal as you are.

I like to think of myself as an objective person, & I hate tribalism. Infact my best friends are Tongas and Lozis – nice people they are! However, my observation with work situations is that when you have a Tonga heading an organisation, then it becomes a Tonga organisation! When Late Mazoka was leading in one of the elections, I got a feel of what it would be like to have a Tonga president – it was scary!

Looks like this tribalism thing is heating up. The fact is that even the voting pattern is on tribal line. A bemba will never vote for milupi or HH no matter how good anyone of them might be. Failure by pf to balance up tribes in matters of governance is creating animosity towards bembas.

Clearly i can see desperation in the pa fwaka party. this level of desperation of faking stories quoting so called ‘sources’ will not fool zambians. It is a smokescreen to distract the people of zambia from the real issues. It won’t work. we have been through this napoleonic propaganda before and now zambians are politically mature not allowing themselves to be cheated. and this is the real reason that HE MCS won the elections. In their desperation MMD tried all sorts of tricks but nothing worked becasue people had enough of the propaganda. if you want to save the Pa Fwaka party my advise is simple ‘please change your tactics’.

Zambians PF’s plan is to divide the opposition and if you ve been analyzing the political stuation in the country you will see that the PF is behaving like we will be having general elections in the next two months. They have reason any way, because they that their president who is also a republican president might not rule up to 2016. But next time around it will be an uphill battle and PF might be the shortest saving party in govt.

God bless us and make us further united as a nation …

The post at it again or simply Mmembe at it again misleading Zambians the way they did in the case of Sata. These desperate people have seen signs on the wall that the gimmicks they used to put Sata as a president are failing and Zambians have realised the deceit. Let us not be brainwashed over tribalism when it comes to quality leadership, we have lived as one nation, intermarried and made strong friendship across all tribes of Zambia. The greedy PF sponsors or political engineers are out to brain wash the zambians with this rubbish machinations. To me it is all speculations, no concrete data pointing to Milupi and HH fighting the Bembas. There will be more stories comining from their deception factory without thinking of an ordinary Bemba suffering like any other ordinary Zambian and loking for the day this country will develop and provide the needs of its citizenry.

Zambian are smarter than that, they know the leader when they see one, e.g Mazoka was voted by all kind of tribe in Zambia with out look where he was coming from, and it has been like that and it shall be like that, no mater how tribal some one want to play. So when the southerner and westerner will produce a leader like Mazoka or Sata or Late Mwanawasa people will vote for him in numbers just like they did with the others. The thing is HH or Milupi they are not leaders and no mater how they will try they shall never rule our mighty Zambia
