HH: Sakeni Is Not Even Fit To Be a UPND Councilor
Opposition UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema has lashed out at Chief Government Spokesman Kennedy Sakeni for attacking opposition leaders.
Mr. Hichilema said Mr. Sakeni should instead focus on ensuring that his government delivers on its campaign promises.
“Listening to Mr. Sakeni, you will agree with me that the man does not even understand what he is talking about, this man cannot even be a Councilor in our party,” Mr. Hichilema said.
He charged that Mr. Sakeni could only serve as Chief Government Spokesman in a confused government such as the PF’s.
“This man is not leadership material but this is the man serving as Government Spokesman, it shows you the type of people leading us.”
“When Sakeni opens his mouth, both his speech and his mannerisms are incoherent. You can see that the man doesn’t know what he is talking about,” he said.
The UPND leader has since advised President Michael Sata to drop Mr. Sakeni from the position of Government Spokesman to protect the integrity of his government.
“If the President is serious with managing the affairs of this country, he should seriously consider dropping this Sakeni man.”

Sakeni is equally not fit to be a PF councilor let alone a cabinet minister! Why Sata went ahead & appointed him a cabinet minister is way beyond me! But then this is only my opinion.

Kennedy is much smarter than HH. Compare Kennedy who Sata has appointed as Government spokesperson to William Banda whom HH has appointed special advisor. Kenny aligned himself to the winning PF while HH went for an alliance with the losing MMD and lecturing to everyone that no single opposition party can dislodge MMD. What happened? PF won with such a huge margin that ECZ did not find it necessary to even finish counting the ballots. HH has no political foresight and worse now that he is under a heavy burden of frustration. I pity his followers because this is a typical example of a blind person leading people with eyes simply because he has wealth.

But Sakeni won as an elected MP,HH has never won any election not even at ward level. Sakeni was OP so he knows a lot than hh only that he takes his time. If I were hh GOD FORBID I would dare not go that way.

This has nothing to do with oposition or tribe but for once ill agree with HH that Sakeni is not the man for the job of Zambia Public Relations Manager.Sakeni can have other leadership skills which Sata saw in him but its certainly not spokesman.Given Lubinda did a better job and he has the tact for the job.Sakeni should go back to Home affairs or give him something to do at ZAWA

What is wrong with Zambia Watchdog? Whenever we make comments that goe against HH they do not publish them. Is Zambia Watchdog sponsored by HH or is it only for Tongas? Data at parliament shows that among the three parties, UPND has the lowest percentage of university graduates. the percentage is almost half of what PF or MMD has

It is a pity that HH does not see the value of a councilor. The issue is not what he thinks about Sakeni but rather that (he believes that) the position of councilor for UPND must be reserved for people with sub-standard leadership qualities if any at all.
