President Michael Sata, President has retired Ministry of Transport, Works, Supply and Communications Permanent Secretary Major. Francis Kamanga.
This is according to a press release made available to the media by State House.
The President thanked Maj. Kamanga for the services he rendered to the nation during his tenure of office.
“This is to confirm that, with immediate effect, I have decided to retire you as Permanent Secretary in public interest,”
read the excerpt from President Sata’s letter to Maj. Kamanga dated October 1, 2012.
Maj. Kamanga was appointed by President Michael Sata last year in November. During the swearing in ceremony Mr Sata told Maj Kamanga to put an end to the corruption at the road development agency.
He told Maj Kamanga to go country wide to monitor road construction projects and not leave to RDA.
Maj Sata also directed Maj Kamanga to upgrade all aerodromes in the country.

U know b4 this i used think that ministers are supposed to be in offices for long time so that even in civics the pupils can learn about them but now its chalk, black board and a duster mwalemba mwafuta. however this concept can be good to reduce corruption but theres no room for job on training or errors. even learners will be fired at the point of learning. over row i think this concept can good for the most corrupt nation like ours. big up MCS

He has basically been fired for being in the way of the new form of corruption – State House supervised one. A seriuos stoog will be appointed very soon. Its very sad to note that the Prez is busy destroying the institutions that are very critical in national development.

Retired in public interst entails tht the retiree wil receive a ful pension sem as some 1 who has workd fo 55 -65 old retiremnt age in service,so no ned to worry its the shortest retiremnt tht can accord a public worker to such full emoluments & benefits the bigman wil only be missing travel & sitting subsistence allowances he wz enjoyn wen in office

Too much firing, whatever happened to warning letters or even asking particular ministers in various ministries to sit down their PS’ to help them improve or whatever instead of summary dismissals left right and centre. This is casualization as jobs are not secured and we complain about Chinese casualization when we are actually doing it to our own. Too much hire and fire, it shows lack of direction on part of our leaders. We are watching! Let us see who will be appointed next, let’s wait for the name.

With Tumfweko’s inadequate reporting standards you wont understand why this guy has been fired. The reporter to some extent tries to state what this guy’s performance outcomes were, which he may have failed to produce…

Sata has fired major whoever. the reason for his doing so is what should have made the interesting news you idioti’c fools. Go back to school and learn how to report

SOME PEOPLE FORGET WHY THEY HAVE BEEN APPOINTED AND START ENRICHING THEMSELVES FIRST. WE WERE TOLD THAT THERE WAS TOO MUCH CORRUPTION AT RDA AND THE PS WAS GIVEN A DIRECTIVE TO QUICKLY CLEAN UP THE PLACE BUT INSTEAD WENT FOR HONEY MOON. ROAD INFRUSTRACTURE IS PRIORITY TO DEVELOPMENT, SO IF HE WAS SHEEPISH WHY SPARE HIM COZ THE BLEM WILL STILL COME BACK TO THE PRESIDENT
