HH Advised To Aspire To Higher Office With Integrity
Lusaka Province Minister Gerry Chanda has advised United Party for National Development leader Hakainde Hichilema to aspire to higher office with integrity.
Colonel Chanda says it is very unfortunate that Mr. Hakainde has resorted to aimless attacks on the government and its leadership in the hope of gaining public sympathy.
He says the allegations by the UPND leader that he was the one that directed suspected PF cadres to beat up UPND cadres during the planned requiem church service for late former first lady Mama Betty Kaunda are absurd.
Speaking at a media briefing this morning, Colonel Chanda says it is ridiculous for anyone to insinuate that he directed cadres to misbehave when he had left the venue immediately he learnt that former president Kenneth Kaunda had fallen ill.
Colonel Chanda says the allegations are malicious and only aimed at damaging his personality.
He however states that the UPND leader will not succeed in tarnishing his image because he is a man of principle.
Colonel Chanda, who is also Kanyama area member of Parliament, says Mr. Hichilema’s behavior, clearly shows the shallowness in the leadership of individuals aspiring to be national leaders.
And Colonel Chanda says it is improper for the UPND to align a statement allegedly attributed to him in 2008 over the then Government’s alliance with the Zimbabwean security forces prior to the elections to Mr. Hichilema’s allegations that the PF government sent its youths to Sudan for training.
He says he made those remarks as a professional, trying to defend the integrity of the country.
The Lusaka Province minister says Mr. Hichilema should avoid making alarming statements on which the has no facts, to avoid unnecessary problems.

And you Sir, If you are as principled as you affirm, you would have written to HH as a grown up instead of addressing the press in the hope that the word will reach HH. So, for me, that makes the two of you!!
We long for a time when level headed men and women will lead this nation.

The curse of labour is upon HH. he’ll end up a half-crazy, dried-up politician. He is slowly becoming an antique. It looks as if HH & William Banda are more efficient at political violence than anything else. One day UPND will end up in a political junk shop!

Sometimes it makes believe that HH is moved by anger and hatred for not to have won elections. I speak not politiking or hating because of anything. As a person who served in UPND district youth wing on the copperbelt, I understand and know most of the top leaders in UPND because we shared meetings together from time to time.But my advice to our president HH and UPND members even those who joined recently is that,let us avoid uncessary antagonism,tribal bounderies and hatred if there is any. Some of the happenings will make some one believe wat people say abuot HH,it may work negatively for him. Becareful with who is advising u !!

Hahaha… it is in this country of ours where a soldier can insult or degrade the learned. Ba chanda, what books have you read for you to hold an intellectual contest with Mr HH apart from being Bemba? You are just a soldier whow only knows how to pull the trigger.

Col Gerry chanda who is only Form V certificate holder understand economics than HH who went to the Universities because he is a disciple of MC. Who can teach who between Col Chanda and HH? ooh it is Col Chanda. At Form V he has alot to offer. All farmers are now paid by FRA. MC policies are very clear. mealie meal prices have gone down. so why complain. Youths are being employed every day. So there are no checks and balances to offer?

Alwaays trying to break down and to curse on what the govt is doing will not help HH to gain leadership. So pliz HH’s advisers be wise and advise sense to him not all this rubbish we hear from him.

@jube to be a colonel is nt a simple rank in the service,so wen mr hh is advised the colonel hs been there in the rear with a gear, jst encourage yo president hh to accept positive critism from rit people if he shud mek it in his political career,@kakolwe ala certain pipo dnt appreciate diplomacy so i dnt see nothing wrong to the colonel mode of diseminating the masage to mr hh
