4 Zambian Players Named For The African Player Of The Year Award
Four Zambian players from the 2012 Africa cup winning team have made the preliminary shortlist for the 2012 CAF African player of the year awards.
Meanwhile, the TP Mazembe duo of Rainford Kalaba and Stroppila Sunzu who who are part of that shortlist have also been nominated for the CAF African-based player of the year award.
In the main category, Zambia captain Christopher Katongo of Henan Jianye in China and Southampton striker Emmanuel Mayuka join Kalaba and Sunzu vying for the African player of the year award.
In all, three Zambian players from TP Mazembe have made it on either list that was officially unveiled by CAF on Thursday.
Striker Given Singuluma joins his compatriots Kalaba and Sunzu on the African-based player’s award category.
CAF will announce the top 10 final shortlist in each of the two categories at the end of this month who will battle for honours on December 20 in Accra, Ghana.

If a Zambian wins,maybe Kalusha Bwalya kuti aleka ukutuka abantu mubwalwa ati “am the only southern African footballer of the year.” Lets go guys.

bafikala stp hatn on chris. He is just a gud player juju does nt work. If u say wen he scores first others do nt ,wat ct the game against libya in the afcon where he scored first and mayuka scored the secnd. Nga mwatampa ifyabupuba u wi5 start demoralising him. CHriS katOnGo for player of the year.

Thats it boys ,go go go zambia.Bt y this negative mentality?nikujaela kuluza such tht we doubt our supremacy and tag it on juju?if Chris didnt score those crucial goes were we going to be much happier?he saved us from embarassment from Uganda and tht was a crime to sme fans;-(.OK chris was the engine to our success so he deserves to win the award.

pliz lets support these guys,the issue of juju is not real try it yoself if you can score? if say when he score first ,then why them not score first ask yoselves guys.let us believe that he is a tool in the zambian football.
