UPND Launches GBM Poach Campaign

The opposition UPND has launched a poaching expedition for embattled defence minister and kasama central member of parliament Geofrey Bwalya Mwamba. Sources within the opposition party have revealed that there’s excitement within the parties top leadership following the defence ministers looming resignation from the rulling party.

According to the sources,UPND president Hakainde Hichilema has called for all stringent tactics to persuade mr Mwamba to join the party even if it means investing into his companies.

The sources further revealed that mr Mwambas resignation from the Pf would be a landmark loss for the rulling party and having him in the opposition would spell success in the UPND. “People are excited in the party, they know mr mwamba is a heavy weight who contributed to the PF victory story last year” “He’s a major funder of PF and the Upnd leadership has resolved that he is a major factor” the source stressed.

With all his Zillions he failed to win election after elections whilst in MMD, this time he won because of the Sata factor. Let him join them he would be mince meat in Kasama. Truth be told Kasama is to PF as Choma is to UPND, even willima Banda standing on PF ticket in Kasama would win pants down.

If he joins UPND he will come with his crowd and he would try to challenge HH for Presidency and thats a fact. He won’t be willing to pour in his millions for a stnpid ministerial post again, he wants more he wants what has eluded HH for the Past 10 years, Presidency.

The truth is that he is not corrupt therefore he will not resign. Why should the tongas be excited now than before? These schemes are just manufactured by the same Hakaindes of this world.GBM has been a business man if not all his life what can make him to be corrupt today? He was a business man in Kaunda’s time ,in Chiluba’s time,in Mwanawasa’s time and in Rupah’s time what is so special about today? Do not cheat yourselves he will not quit.

Why do you always think with your tribe? Who told you that HH represents all tongas? So you think a tonga cant support a bemba? You have a small mind. With these levels of tribal thinking, I can assume and correctly so that you have not mixed with people. This means you did all your school in one remote province if not one remote district. Shame on you.

Now, Now, Mr. Katwa, Though you rightly and positively respond to those thinkinking ‘tribal’ you may also recal that there is ONLY one party in the Nation that has a known rule that ‘ONLY A ‘TRIBE’ CAN STAND FOR PRESIDEENCY’ in that party. And NO leader (whether Political or Traditional) has ever refuted that coz it suits them and it suited them

    • Katwa Reply

      October 9, 2012 at 12:53 am

Who is a fish in this case and who are people because GBM and HH are all Zambians. Please visit other people and realise commanalities between zambians. You were misled alot by those you grow up with to think that a tonga is different from a bemba and one bemba thief represents all bembas or one intelligent tonga represents all tongas. Zambians are zambians and are all one just as all of us today we celebrate 3points given to Chipolopolo and this month celebrating independence day.

A tonga and bemba for example are just the same pipo. For us its one Zambia one nation the problem is with other pipo who openly say during their so called convention that position of presidency in a particular party belongs to them only.We are trying very hard to enlight these pipo that there is no tribe the word we should use is us ZAMBIANS kwasira. We are celebrating the three points awarded to us. Zambia at the verge of crossing to Brazil.

In this era it is unfortunate to have such minds when in America an African-american is the president. Small minds like yours who think with the tribe must first diminish for Zambia to be really a one Zambia one Nation state.

I greet you all within and in diaspora; this Bemba Tonga verbal rivalry is growing intensely, what is it that each of us should do to correct this unpallatable vertim in our state. In the first instance each of us were born in the tribes we are un knowingly. There is no superior tribe so is state. To my fellow bloggers your using of bad lingua to address important issues is not going to help us NO. To all the politicians being honest is vital. I am still thinking when did GBM realise he has enough personal transport. This may result to taking his personal vehicles for service at GRZ’s expense and that may mean corruption. In my own view if one is working for government let him/r enjoy the privailedges to the full in a right way; unless he/she so thinks they-prevaledges are inferio. I thank you all.

The Tonga of Mazambuka is just bemba spoken in another dialect. I can not speak tonga but I understand 70% of the words, even though I am bemba. I am sure many can testify to this.Lozi is no where near Tonga or bemba. It suprises me why Tongas try to align themselves with ba maloshi. The other thing is that Bemba and tonga are no different. The only major difference is akaso abatonga. This can be explained because tongas like investing, while the bemba want to enjoy to the last pen. These two tribes are like two brothers. Sometimes they are for each other, sometimes they are at their necks, but does not mean they hate each other. I can go on and explain about the other bemba relatives, the kalubales, chokwe and kaonde. Little wonder why a bemba is confortable with any sort of friend from any tribe. I am bemba from chinsali, I like HH very much, but he has no tactics. He should have agreed to be vice, come 2016 or the other elections he should have been Presdo. Sometimes you have to take one step back then make 2 steps forward.
